Helical Pier Installation Video – Champion Foundation Repair

Helical Pier Installation Video – Champion Foundation Repair http://ChampionFoundation.com In this video, we will be demonstrating the installation of Champion’s Helical Pier System. To stabilize the perimeter of your home, Helical Piers will be hydraulically driven past the looser soils and deep down into the harder load bearing strata. The weight of the structure will then be transferred off of those weaker soils and onto the Helical Piers. The process begins by hand digging holes at each point to allow access to the footer. Once the footer is chiseled and prepared, it’s time to place the spreader beam. The spreader beam is placed underneath the foundation and will be connected to the Fasteel ULTRA bracket later in the installation process. After the spreader beam has been placed, it’s time to install the Helical Lead Section. The Helical Lead is a steel pipe with multiple twisted helix plates ranging in size from 8 inch to 16 inches in diameter. The Helical Lead is placed in the footer hole in preparation of the hydraulic torque drive. At this point the Helical Lead will be connected to a hydraulic drive assembly in the process of driving the helical begins. Designed to withstand 8500 foot-pounds of torque pressure the Helical Lead drills through the weakened soil driving the Helical Lead deep into competent load bearing strata. Once the helical has been driven, helical extensions will be added one at a time, until the helical is firmly and securely at the desired depth of installation. Once drilling is complete the excess helical pipe will be cut and be made ready for the bracket installation. The Fasteel ULTRA bracket is now placed in position to the helical pipe and set underneath the spreader beam. Once the bracket assembly T pipe is installed we will be able to seat the bracket directly onto the footer. The ULTRA bracket is now connected to the footer and foundation is ready to be lifted. The Fasteel ULTRA bracket is the industry’s strongest foundation bracket, each series of brackets are tested at the manufacturer and provide an unparalleled holding capacity of up to 120,000 pounds. Using a specially designed 20 ton jacking assembly, we begin to jack and slowly lift the home’s foundation. As the house is lifted the weight of your homes foundation is shifted off the damaged soil structure and onto the helical pier. Once we reach the desired correction, the jacking assembly will be removed and the footer hole properly filled in. This process is then repeated across the perimeter of your home with each pier establishing an immovable connection between your homes foundation and the deeper load bearing strata deep beneath your home placing your foundation on solid ground. Champion’s patented state-of-the-art helical repair system provides the industry’s strongest and longest lasting foundation repair. Every Champion Helical Repair comes completely backed with our lifetime warranty. http://championfoundation.com/ Learn More About Us At: http://www.newfreedomfoundation.com

foundation repair DFW | Call for an estimate 972-709-6300

foundation repair DFW | Call for an estimate 972-709-6300 Call All American Foundation Repair today for a free estimate or visit our web site at http://www.all-american.ws According to foundation repair DFW expansive soils act like a sponge. As they absorb water, they swell and as they lose water they shrink. Soils tend to dry out (and shrink) during the summer, and absorb water (and swell) during the winter and spring. Foundation repair DFW tells us the soil under a house shrinks and swells with the seasons, the house will move up and down. As long as the movement is not great enough to damage the house and/or foundation, it is not a problem. If there is a problem count on foundation repair DFW. If the up and down movement of a foundation always returns the foundation to its original level position, then damage to the house and foundation may appear and disappear on a regular basis as the seasons change. If a homeowner wishes to stop seasonal house and foundation damage, the first course of action should be to follow a controlled watering program dictated by foundation repair DFW. By keeping the moisture content of the soil under the foundation constant, foundation movement can often be stopped. Foundation repair DFW has written this to assist the homeowner in performing a simple foundation preventive maintenance program. The goal of a foundation watering program is to maintain a constant level of moisture in the soil under the house and foundation according to foundation repair DFW. The best way to water a foundation is to install a buried foundation watering system. If you do not want to go to the expense of installing a buried watering system, soaker hoses will provide you with many of the same benefits. Foundation repair DFW suggests the best way to use a soaker hose is to bury a soaker hose three inches deep, one foot from the edge of your foundation. Placing the hose a short distance from the foundation allows the water to soak into the soil evenly. Foundation repair DFW says the hose should not be placed against the foundation. When soil has dried and cracked, water can travel along the cracks for several feet in all directions. If the soil around your foundation is dried and cracked, then water placed next to the foundation will run through the cracks and accumulate at the bottom of the grade beam (the thick portion of the foundation that is under the exterior walls). In some cases, according to foundation repair DFW, an accumulation of water in the soil at the base of a foundation can cause the soil to lose some of its load bearing capacity. If the soil loses enough load bearing capacity, the house will sink into the ground. It is necessary to water more during hot, dry weather and less during cold, damp weather says foundation repair DFW. The amount of water required to keep a foundation stable during the summer can be surprisingly… Continue Reading

Foundation Repair of Cracked Concrete Slab The drought in Texas in 2011 caused many foundation problems and cracked slabs. This is a foundation repair, demonstrating how posts are pressure driven into the earth until they reach a point of resistance. In this location, 20 cylinders were driven into the soil. Once all 9 holes have been driven, simultaneously the lift takes place as the jacks lift the slab back to level. A digital altimeter measures the level change and confirms the slab is at the same elevation. Learn More About Us At: http://www.newfreedomfoundation.com
